Discover the projects of pianist Sophie Hulshoff, featuring solo and chamber music performances, international collaborations, and tours across Europe. Chamber Music

Chamber music is a central part of Sophie’s work as a musician. She treasures the collaborative process of creating new ideas and sound-worlds together with other musicians.

Her partnership with soprano Sabra El Bahri Khatri began at the Grachtenfestival 2023 in Amsterdam, where Sabra was nominated for the festival prize. Their debut concert took place in the beautiful Hotel Krasnapolsky, and their collaboration continued with performances such as the Weekend of Romantic Music in Rotterdam, featuring a rich and expressive Romantic program.

In 2026, Sophie will launch a new project with renowned cellist Sevak Avanesyan. She maintains a profound interest in the cello repertoire, taking pleasure in uncovering diverse works and arrangements.

Piano Concertos

In November 2021, Sophie performed Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor with the Leiden Sinfonietta, conducted by Joost Geevers, at the Vredeskerk in Leiden (The Netherlands).

In April 2023, she made her debut in Rome, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto in C minor, K. 491 with the Roma Tre Orchestra, under the direction of Jan Latham-Koenig. This project opened with a performance of Mozart’s Piano Quartet in G minor, together with members of the orchestra, setting a warm and intimate tone for an unforgettable concert evening.
